my horse tilts his head up every time he swallows/chews....i think he mite be having a hard time with his teeth...?? i am having the vet come out and check on this....has anyone seen something familiar to this??

Hi born2ride! have you ruled out the possibility of strangles? Obviously an expert assessment is a good place to start, but have a feel around and under his jaws/throat for any swellings that could indicate an abscess. Even a simple thing like a thistle head stuck in there could be like a sliver in our hands. I hope you solve this problem, perhaps all he needs is a float? Dominic.

take a look in his/her mouth and see how his teeth look and look for any sores in the mouth. I'm with Dominic on the strangles, is a likely guess based on your description.
