Hi Everyone! Im new here, and I have a question. Last November I went to Equitana Asia-Pacific in Melbourne. In the Mane Event, there was an exhibition by a rider with a long pole which he (she?) would set one end on the ground and ride a circle around it, then switch to the other side. I believe there were musicians and maybe dancers in the arena as well. Does anyone know what this style of riding is called?!?! I think it was of Spanish or Latin origin. Please help, I am doing a university project on various types of artistic riding, and have never seen or heard of this before or since.

you are refering to the "Andalusian Horse Association" & Caballeriza de Garrocha Andalusions
The rider was Helen Blomquist and the flamigo guitarist was Richard Tedesco
The "Art" is called "Garrocha"
hope this helps
