A local stable has a few horses with dry-land strangles. Is it safe to ride on /close to stalls and pastures of infected horses? I would like to use some of the trails surrounding the property but would have to ride through areas where these horses have traveled. They have active abscesses, but seem to be improving. What would be considered a safe time to proceed, if any? Any info would be appreciated.
