I am looking at buying a 3yr old AQHA mare that is slightly toed-in. The current owners bought her from a sale in May from MO. At that time she had shoes on, they have since let the shoes fall off on their own and have not had her feet done since this time. I think we can assume that the feet where done before May for the last time. She is slightly toed-in with very long feet, but they seem to be in okay condition considering. No cracking/splitting etc. However this mare does wing-out when at a walk and trot. I am wondering if this problem can be corrected normally by proper trimming/shoeing or if normally these horses continues with winging-out.
I have read several things that say both. Also could this be the reason she was shod in MO?

Thanks

Sounds fixable if you get an experienced farrier who is familiar with treating this type of problem.
