Me and my friend Emilia are maybe going to buy a horse together. Anybody who has got any experiences of this? I mean, shall we write a contract or something?

And is it smart to buy an old horse?

Friends are great but if you want to protect your investment you should write a contract outlining exactly what the terms are between you and your friend otherwise it's your word against theirs if things go south.

I co-owned a horse with a friend. It basically ruined the friendship. If you are great friends and have exactly the same school of thought on horses, it might work out fine. If not, you may find it to be a difficult and impossible situation. Good luck.
