I have a 4 year old tbxHighland which I have re-broken after he had a really bad time last year with his previous owner. However he has developed a large splint on one foreleg, just below the knee and I notice he is developing another on the other foreleg. This really worries me as he is so young, he has not been hammered on hard ground, nor done lots of circles, etc. He lives out all year round, always has done, and he goes barefoot. He shows no sign of lameness, nor has he since I have had him. Has anyone experienced anything similar and if so, how did you treat it?
