What's DMSO?

I heard some folks boarding next to me talking about DMSO and I was just curious what it was and what it was used for. Smells terrible !

DMSO has really helped when one of my ponys was down and out, I'll swear by it too!

With DMSO, if you use it, ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES. It iswonderful for relieving pain and swelling in horses, but you will not enjoy what you taste and feel if you put it onto your bare hands. Have a great day.
